Academic Year

Three Terms,
One Brilliant Year

KS International School follows Malaysia's national school calendar, operating across three terms. The school year runs from January to November, with school holidays aligned with MOE Malaysia public holiday announcements.

Exact term dates, including school holiday periods, are communicated in advance each year through the school newsletter and notice boards. For the most current dates, please contact the school office.

Term Structure

The Three Terms

01

Term 1

January – March

The academic year begins with orientation activities, goal-setting, and the full roll-out of the Cambridge curriculum. Key events include the Maulidur Rasul celebration and Malaysia Day.

02

Term 2

April – August

The longest term covers the core academic programme in depth. Leadership camp, sports events, and co-curricular competitions feature prominently. Mid-year assessments take place.

03

Term 3

September – November

The final push before year-end. Cambridge Primary Checkpoint for Year 6 students, end-of-year assessments, prize-giving ceremony, and a celebration of the year's achievements.

Note: Exact term start and end dates follow MOE Malaysia announcements and may vary slightly year to year. All holiday dates are communicated in advance to parents and guardians.
