Cambridge International
Cambridge Core Subjects
The academic backbone of every KS International School student's education — internationally benchmarked, rigorous, and future-focused.
English Language
Comprehensive English literacy — reading, writing, listening, and speaking — aligned with Cambridge Primary standards. Students develop fluency, critical reading skills, and confident written and oral expression.
Mathematics
Number, algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving following the Cambridge Primary Mathematics framework. Develops logical thinking and mathematical confidence for all future study.
Science
Inquiry-based scientific learning covering biology, chemistry, and physics concepts appropriate to each year level. Students learn to ask questions, design investigations, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
Computing
Computer literacy, digital citizenship, and technology skills — from basic computing to coding fundamentals. Assessed through the prestigious ICAS Digital Technologies competition.
Social Studies
History, geography, and civic education with a Malaysian and global perspective. Helps students understand their place in the world and their responsibilities as citizens.
Wellbeing
Holistic student wellbeing programme covering mental health, emotional intelligence, healthy lifestyle, and resilience — launching for all students from the next academic year.
Language Studies
Languages We Offer
At KS International School, we believe multilingualism is a superpower. Alongside English as the medium of instruction, students develop proficiency in additional languages.
Bahasa Malaysia (BM)
UPSR-aligned Bahasa Malaysia instruction. All students develop proficiency in Malaysia's national language — an essential skill for life in Malaysia.
Arabic Language
Optional Arabic studies for Muslim students, supporting Quranic comprehension and a deeper connection with global cultural heritage and scholarship.
Mandarin
Optional Mandarin Chinese for students wishing to develop bilingual or multilingual capabilities in one of the world's most widely spoken languages.
Values Education
Character & Moral Education
Character and values are at the heart of everything we do at KS International School. Our structured religious and moral education ensures every student develops strong personal values alongside their academic skills.
Universal Values
Comprehensive values education covering ethics, integrity, compassion, respect for diverse perspectives, and civic responsibility — nurturing students into thoughtful, principled individuals committed to making positive contributions to society.
Moral Studies
Character development through universal moral principles — exploring honesty, empathy, fairness, and responsibility through real-world scenarios that help students navigate complex ethical questions.
Qiraati / Quran
Structured Quran recitation programme following the Qiraati method, ensuring all Muslim students can read and recite the Quran with proper tajweed from the earliest years.
Physical Education
Physical & Co-Curricular
Physical Education (PE)
Structured physical education is a core component of every student's timetable. PE develops physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
KS International School's PE programme takes advantage of the school's outstanding facilities — including the swimming pool, sports grounds, and courts — to deliver a diverse, enjoyable physical education experience.
Co-Curricular Activities
Every student participates in a structured co-curricular activity during the final period on Monday to Thursday. Available activities include:
Cambridge Assessments
KS International School students are assessed throughout the year using Cambridge Primary Progression Tests — standardised assessments that measure student progress against international benchmarks. At Year 6, students sit the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint, an externally marked assessment that provides a comprehensive profile of each student's readiness for secondary school.
Additionally, students are entered for ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) — independent international assessments in Mathematics, Science, English, and Digital Technologies. KS International School earned Gold Medal Winner School status for ICAS 2020.
