Drawing on JFK's timeless observation that "Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other," KSIS held its inaugural student leadership programme in October 2023. Teachers selected students demonstrating exceptional character to serve as prefects, class monitors, and assistant monitors for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Selected student leaders underwent a two-week probationary period to demonstrate their capability before 23 of them participated in a two-day overnight leadership camp organised by AIU interns and led by camp commandant Mr. Taufik.

The programme was packed with meaningful activities: survival cooking and team meals, communication-based games requiring collaborative problem-solving, a night trail designed to test courage and teamwork, overnight tent camping in the school hall, early morning physical exercises and prayers, and a leadership skills briefing by Mr. Azli.

The initiative concluded with the student leaders' chant: KSIS Warriors! Inspiring Minds. KSIS expressed gratitude to all intern teachers, staff, parents, and AIU Student Affairs for making this experience possible.
